KARACHI INSTITUTE OF KIDNEY DISEASES was established in 2009 & remained nonfunctional till 2016 due to the unavailability of funds. After an M.O.U signed between KARACHI METROPOLITAN CORPORATION and KIKDA in 2017, it became functional, and just within the period of three years, the institute is now ranked 2nd after S.I.U.T in the public sector in providing dialysis and other facilities free of cost to kidney patients. The association has given significant attention to preventing the spread of kidney failures and providing an early diagnosis with robust medical treatment. An estimated twenty-eight thousand (28000) patients were treated in OPD last year.

The number of patients with chronic kidney disease CKD is increasing rapidly. Our existing Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is operating at full capacity, and the demand for critical care services is continuously increasing. Therefore, we have decided to construct a new ICU with an increased capacity of 16 beds.
By supporting the construction of a new ICU, you will help us enhance our capacity to treat severely ill patients, enabling us to save more lives and respond effectively to emergencies.
